Forms with a handwritten signature
Many documents only need the other person to confirm their details and sign: an engagement, a consent, a sign-off, a registration. In Peachform, the signature is just another question type, so you can add it to any form.
How the signature works
- Respondents sign in a box with a finger on their phone, or with the mouse on a computer.
- The signature is stored as strokes, not as an image that could be pasted, with the rest of the answers.
- You see it in the detail of each response and in the document to print or save as PDF. In the CSV it shows as “Signed”.
- You can make it required, like any other question.
What it is used for
- Engagement letters and quote acceptances.
- Photo consent, trip and activity permissions.
- Delivery and job completion sign-offs.
- Registrations that accept rules or terms.
What it is not
It is not a certificate-based contract signing platform. If a procedure requires a qualified electronic signature, as some dealings with public authorities do, you will need a digital certificate. For everything else, a signature on a form records who accepts, when and what.
Templates to start with
- Engagement letterFor accountants, law firms and consultants: the client confirms the service and fees and signs the engagement.
- Photo and video consent formFor academies, clubs, schools and events: which uses of photos and videos each person allows, with their signature.
- Academy enrolmentFor academies and training centres: student, course, schedule and, for minors, the guardian's details.
Frequently asked questions
- How valid is a signature drawn on the screen?
- It is a simple electronic signature. The European eIDAS regulation prevents it from being denied legal effect just because it is electronic, and it records who accepts, when and with which details. It is not a qualified electronic signature: if a specific procedure requires one, a digital certificate is needed.
- Is the signature on the free plan?
- Yes. Every question type, signature included, is on every plan.
- Can people sign on their phone?
- Yes: that is where it works best, signing with a finger.
